| He changed his mind after it was put together and dyno'd and to my recollection there was ~35RWHP and ~40RWTQ gained. Cams make an impressive difference that I dont think most people realize - Brian's car was making just around 400RWHP without cams on pump fuel, and with the cams it was about 440RWHP or so at the same boost (18psi) (please bear with me on the actual power numbers, but I'm sure this is close enough for conversation=) That may seem like a lot, but if you think about it, that's only a 10% gain. Seat of pants will tell you more, but its definately a strong 10%. A stage2 Z running around 280RWHP and going to stage3 to put it around 340RWHP is a gain of 60HP to the wheels. That's a gain of ~20%, twice as much as upgrading cams. With the Peacemaker, simply adjusting cam timing made tremendous differences in spoolup and power of the engine. You know as well as I that more air into the cylinder = more power and since the camshafts dictate the breathability of the cylinder, they can have significant effects on engine performance.. And those cams on Brian Labender's car were our smaller cams too! :)
